Inside a Mental Panic
This illustration continues my evolution with dry media. The work shifts away from being entirely ink  and mixes in graphite powder that was shaved off 12B and 8B pencils. The model here is depicted fleeing pursuing hands who seek to capture and harm the model. Initially, this served as a representation of an artist's creative process being bogged down by day to day responsibilities. However, that shifted as progress continued. I began to realize that my own commitments I engage in were the hands, and they were there mostly of my own choosing. After connecting that realization to my own practice I made some changes and realigned my creative goals; as well as finished the illustration. Enjoy!
